Deep Creek Lake - Maryland

Deep Creek Lake in Maryland is a large resort lake with many homes and docks along the shore.

This is a busy lake with a lot of boat traffic, but plenty of small coves and inlets for the paddler.  The lake is deep and usually choppy.  It is also cold due to the location and elevation.  This was a favorite location for people like Thomas Edison and Henry Firestone.  Beautiful place and plenty of great places to launch your kayak.
